Good to know
Things that ruin paint in Miami
Sprinklers do more damage than the sun
Hard water dries on the panel and leaves minerals behind that etch into clear coat. Move the car, or get it rinsed before noon.
The tunnel wash is where swirls come from
Those spinning brushes carry the grit off the car in front of you. A month of tunnel washes undoes a paint correction.
Bird droppings are acidic and fast
In August heat they can etch through clear coat in a day. Keep a spray bottle and a plush towel in the trunk.
Wax is not a coating
Wax lasts weeks here. A real ceramic coating lasts years — but only over paint that was corrected first.
Sand belongs in the vacuum, not the seat rails
Compressed air first, then extract. Otherwise you are just pushing beach sand deeper into the foam.
Sunscreen ruins light leather
It is oil and it stains. Wipe the wheel and the door pull before it sets, and get the leather cleaned properly a few times a year.
FAQ
Questions we get
How often should I detail my car down here?
A full detail every three to four months, with a wash weekly or every other week in between. Sun, salt air, and sprinkler overspray do more here in a season than most places manage in a year.
Can you get that scratch out?
If it does not catch your fingernail, usually yes. If it does, it is through the clear coat and leveling it would take more paint than is safe to remove. We will tell you which one you have.
Do you need my water or power?
No. The truck carries both, which is why we can work in a garage on the fourteenth floor.
How long does it take?
A full detail is four to six hours. Correction and coating runs one to four days depending on how many steps it needs and how long the coating has to cure.
Will my building let you in?
Almost always. We send a certificate of insurance to management ahead of time and register as a vendor, which is what they actually want.
Tell us what you've got.
Same crew every visit, fully insured, and we bring our own water and power. Call, or send a few photos and where it sits.
